Student Welfare & Safeguarding
The wellbeing of students at our summer school is our top priority. A dedicated welfare team is on-site 24/7, working closely with teaching staff and house staff to ensure that each student feels safe, supported and able to thrive.

Your child’s safety, wellbeing and happiness are at the heart of everything we do. Our proactive approach to safeguarding creates a supportive environment where students feel safe to be themselves, ask for help and speak up when something doesn’t feel right.
Boarding life at Winchester goes beyond accommodation; it promotes independence, resilience, and lasting friendships. Under the watchful care of our caring staff, students learn to balance responsibility with freedom, growing in confidence and character. Safeguarding Provision
Before arrival, we review each student’s welfare information and work with families to understand any additional needs or support that may help them settle confidently. Throughout the programme, experienced staff provide pastoral support, with Designated Safeguarding Leads on site and specialist oversight from our Head of Safeguarding.
From the moment they arrive, students are welcomed into a community built on respect, inclusion and belonging. We want every student to feel safe, known, listened to and supported - giving them the confidence to learn, make friends and thrive.
