Boarding Life
On our summer programme, boarding is to create a home as well as a house - it’s about being part of a community of international students where every day produces opportunities for integration, support and fun.
Accommodation
Students will have the unique opportunity to enjoy the Winchester College boarding experience in the brand-new Staunton Williams designed boarding houses. Completed in September 2026, each house offers modern en-suite bedrooms alongside the same supportive, close-knit community that defines life at the College.
Every house has its own character and traditions, while providing a safe, welcoming home with common rooms, study spaces, and gardens for relaxation.
Meals are taken in the historic College dining halls, with a variety of nutritious options served daily.
Student Care
Dedicated house staff - including experienced housemasters, matrons, and tutors - provide exceptional care and guidance throughout each student’s stay. Every house operates as a close-knit community, where students are known personally, supported academically, and encouraged to thrive socially. This environment ensures that every child feels safe, valued, and included.
Boarding life at Winchester goes beyond accommodation; it promotes independence, resilience, and lasting friendships. Under the watchful care of our staff, students learn to balance responsibility with freedom, growing in confidence and character. The result is a transformative experience that builds well-being, connection, and confidence.
